If you are interested in agribusiness, you may have considered fish farming; aquaculture of catfish (also known as catfish farming) may be your ideal industry. Fish farming in Nigeria is an untapped goldmine because there is an ever-increasing demand for it as the best solution to satisfy people’s protein needs.
At HTS Farms, we supply a wide range of fry and fingerling sizes as well as juveniles. Hybrid catfish (Heteroclarias spp) fingerlings up to 10 grams per piece are transported using our fish transporter and we are capable of transporting any quantity of fish depending on the quantities our customers want.
Heteroclarias spp is the future for catfish farming in Nigeria. It is a cross between a species of catfish called Clarias gariepinus (the commonest in Nigeria’s Aquaculture industry) and another species of catfish called Heterobranchus hybrid. The hybridization of the above-mentioned species gives rise to a hybrid catfish called Heteroclarias. It combines the advantages of both parent species, making them a force to reckon with in the fish farming business.
