SAAF Systemic and Contact Fungicide | 250g is a dual-action fungicide combining systemic and contact properties for broad-spectrum disease control. The 250g pack (usually a wettable powder – WP) targets fungal pathogens in vegetables, fruits, field crops, and ornamentals. Its dual mode provides immediate surface protection and internal plant defense.
Carbendazim (12%):
Systemic action: Absorbed by leaves/roots, moves within the plant.
Mode: Inhibits fungal cell division (benzimidazole group).
Targets: Powdery mildew, leaf spots, fusarium wilt, blights.
Mancozeb (63%):
Contact action: Forms protective barrier on plant surfaces.
Mode: Multi-site inhibitor (dithiocarbamate group).
Targets: Downy mildew, early/late blights, rusts.
Contact (Mancozeb): Prevents spore germination on plant surfaces.
Systemic (Carbendazim): Kills established infections inside tissues.
Resistance Management: Two distinct modes of action slow pathogen resistance.
Vegetables:
Early/Late Blight (Tomato, Potato)
Downy Mildew (Cucurbits, Onion)
Leaf Spot (Chilli, Beans), Anthracnose
Fruits:
Powdery Mildew (Grapes, Mango)
Scab (Apple, Pears), Rust (Coffee)
Field Crops:
Sheath Blight (Rice), Tikka Disease (Groundnut)
Diseases Controlled: Leaf spot, rust, blast, anthracnose, downy mildew, powdery mildew, tikka leaf spot, and other foliage‐borne fungi.
Crops: Broadly labeled for vegetables (tomato, pepper, cabbage), cereals (rice, wheat), legumes (groundnut, beans), fruits (mango, grapes), and ornamentals.
Formulation: Wettable Powder (WP) – mixes with water.
Dosage: 2–2.5g per liter of water (check label for crop-specific rates).
Method:
Spray thoroughly on both leaf surfaces until runoff.
Apply preventatively or at first disease signs.
Frequency: Reapply every 10–15 days (or after heavy rain).
Rapid control of existing infections + long-lasting prevention (7–14 days).
Zinc/manganese from Mancozeb boosts plant health.
Effective against resistant strains due to dual chemistry.
