How to use Ceramic Rings:

Fill your biological filter chamber with ceramic rings to the desired depth ensuring good water flow through the media bed. Allow 4 to 6 weeks for beneficial bacteria to fully colonize the ceramic micro-pores. Once established, the bacteria will process your pond’s ammonia load continuously. Clean periodically by gently rinsing in pond water when flow rate through the media decreases. Never use tap water, soap or disinfectants as these kill the beneficial bacteria.
