Ideal growing conditions:

• Soil type should be light and well-drained fertile sandy loam free from aggressive weeds in full sun
• Red Coach F1 performs better within a pH of 5.8 to 6.8
• Topology: The land should be more or less flat with access to a source of water
• Make raised beds in rainy seasons and sunken beds in dry seasons of 1 metre width

How to plant Red Coach F1:

Apply well-decomposed manure at 5kg per square metre and DAP at 0.5kg per square metre. Make shallow furrows of 15cm apart and 1 to 2cm deep. Plant the seeds and cover lightly with soil and apply mulch. Seed rate is 1kg of Red Coach F1 per acre mixed with the same amount of sand then fill furrows evenly with the seed-sand mix when sowing. Apply 100kg of NPK 17:17:17 when transplanting and 60kg of CAN as top dressing 30 days after transplanting.
