Description
Magnesium Sulphate Fertilizer (Maxi Magna S Epsom Salt) | 50kg is an extremely pure Magnesium fertilizer that dissolves quickly and thoroughly. It has a low caking sensitivity and is best used during the vegetative and development processes. Magnesium plays an important role in the development of chlorophyll. Sulfur deficiency is highly valued by the plant, particularly in its early stages of development
- Suitable for organic farming
- Improves leaf colour
- When used in a foliar application, it creates less favourable conditions for fungal growth
- Developed for fertigation in open fields and greenhouses. Also suitable for foliar application
Benefits & Agricultural Uses of Magnesium Sulphate Fertilizer (Maxi Magna S Epsom Salt) | 50kg:
-
Corrects Mg/S Deficiencies:
-
Treats interveinal chlorosis (yellowing between leaf veins) in Mg-deficient crops.
-
Addresses pale leaves/stunted growth from S deficiency.
-
-
Boosts Photosynthesis & Yield:
-
Mg is the central atom in chlorophyll → improves energy capture.
-
-
Enhances Nutrient Uptake:
-
Aids absorption of N, P, and micronutrients.
-
-
Improves Crop Quality:
-
Increases sugar content in fruits (tomatoes, citrus) and oil in oilseeds.
-
-
Stress Mitigation:
-
Reduces transplant shock and improves drought tolerance.
-
Application Guidelines:
| Method | Dosage | Frequency |
|---|---|---|
| Foliar Spray | 1-2% solution (10-20g/L water) | Every 10-14 days |
| Soil Drench | 5-10 kg/acre (pre-planting) | Once per season |
| Hydroponics | 1-2 g/L nutrient solution | Continuous monitoring |
Key Notes:
-
Foliar Timing: Apply early morning/late evening to avoid leaf burn.
-
Soil pH: Works best in neutral to acidic soils (pH < 7.0); less effective in alkaline soils.
-
Compatibility: Safe with most pesticides/fertilizers except calcium solutions (forms gypsum precipitate).
Target Crops & Deficiency Symptoms:
-
High-Response Crops:
-
Tomatoes/Peppers: Prevents blossom-end rot.
-
Potatoes: Boosts tuber size/starch content.
-
Citrus/Roses: Corrects yellowing leaves.
-
Oilseeds/Pulses: Critical for protein/oil synthesis.
-
-
Deficiency Signs:
-
Older leaves turn yellow between veins (Mg).
-
