Grower (1 – 3 Months)

Snail farming is a relatively low-risk venture. Snail farming, in contrast to many other livestock industries, has low startup and maintenance costs. Grower snails lay between 6-14 eggs every 3 months.

Feeding and rearing of the snails

Snail farming relies heavily on mating and egg-laying. The mating season is usually between the months of March and July. Snails will fertilize each other because they are hermaphrodites. To ensure a smooth egg-laying process, use high-quality soil that is at the proper temperature and humidity.

Snails are vegetarians and can be served a variety of foods like cabbage, cucumber, avocado, pineapple, eggplant, peach, carrot, and paw-paw, cassava, okra leaves, or lettuce. Snails, on the other hand, may be fed mango, bananas, or pawpaw.
